Retirement of Flash Site (Classic)

We launched TrainingPeaks Beta in September of 2013, and in December of the same year we began defaulting all new athletes to the new version of TrainingPeaks. Since then, we have ported over many of the features found in Classic, but have also added brand new features along the way.

However, in order to fully focus on the new TrainingPeaks, we must first retire the old. We have finally reached that point. On June 3rd, we retired VirtualCoach.  On July 1st, we retired TrainingPeaks Classic.

Here is an overview of what features will not be moved over, features that we have recently added, and a few features that are still to come:

  • Features retired on June 3rd, 2015
    • Virtual Coach
      • We do not have a replacement in the works.  It is recommended that you place all VC workouts onto your calendar.  Once VC is retired, all workouts placed on the calendar will remain on the calendar.
  • Features retired on July 1st, 2015
    • Forums
      • This includes all forums (Support, private coach forums and training plan forums).
    • Routes
    • In-app Private Messaging
    • Structured Workout Builder
      • Existing workouts will remain in your library, and will be Read-Only. You will be able to see intervals that are already created.  You will not be able to edit the intervals after July 1st.
      • We are working on reimagining this functionality and hope to reintroduce this feature in the future
    • Classic Nutrition Tracking / Meal Plans
    • Printing
      • Advance printing capabilities will be retired.  Basic printing is currently available in the new TrainingPeaks or can access workout information through our mobile app.  Printing no longer has a dedicated print button, instead use File > Print from your browser to get a formatted printed page.
