At this time, TrainingPeaks and Strava do not offer direct syncing between our platforms. However, there are three methods you can use to export workout data from Strava to TrainingPeaks.
Option 1: Connect Your Fitness Device to TrainingPeaks
The easiest way to get your workout data into TrainingPeaks is to sync your device (e.g., your Garmin watch, Wahoo heart rate monitor, etc.) with your TrainingPeaks account. The major fitness device manufacturers — like Garmin, Suunto, Polar, Wahoo, etc. — offer direct syncs with TrainingPeaks. Simply connect once and you will never have to worry about manually uploading files again.
- To get your device syncing with TrainingPeaks, start here.
Option 2: .tcx File Export
You can also export the .tcx file for an individual Strava activity by adding /export_tcx to the end of your activity page URL.
- For example, if your activity page is www.strava.com/activities/1234567890
- Add /export_tcx to the end of the URL (see below) and hit enter. www.strava.com/activities/1234567890/export_tcx
- This will download a TCX version of your file to the location specified by your browser's preferences. The .tcx file will contain heart rate and power data.
- Finally, import this file into your TrainingPeaks calendar using the Drag and Drop method.
Option 3: .fit File Export
You can export the .fit file for an individual Strava activity by adding /export_original to the end of your activity page URL.
- For example, if your activity page is www.strava.com/activities/1234567890
- Add /export_original to the end of the URL (see below) and hit enter. www.strava.com/activities/1234567890/export_original
- This will download a FIT version of your file to the location specified by your browser's preferences. The .fit file will contain heart rate and power data.
- Finally, import this file into your TrainingPeaks calendar using the Drag and Drop method.
Option 4: .gpx Bulk File Export
You can also bulk export .gpx files from Strava into TrainingPeaks. Please note that this option is best suited for GPS data, as heart rate data is not available in .gpx files.
- Log into your Strava account and click on your activity. Under actions, export the workout as a .gpx file.
After the file is downloaded to your computer, you can Drag and Drop it into your TrainingPeaks calendar.
