TrainingPeaks Virtual allows you to organise your own teams, with your own in-game team kit, and manage the membership yourself.
To Create your custom team:
- Download the template file (here) and fill it in with your design
- Image will need to be 2048x2048 pixels in order to be added.
- Identify and include the team manger(s) athlete account(s) username used to login to TrainingPeaks Virtual
- Submit your design to virtual@trainingpeaks.com
- In approximately five days your team kit will then be integrated into the game and available to wear
Notes for Kit Design
The following images demonstrate where everything needs to be placed in order to get your design looking fantastic in-game.

Tips for a great looking kit:
- When in-game, kit acts more like a rider’s skin, than clothing. This means that areas of the body that rotate will result in the kit stretching in those areas. As a result, intricate logos and/or text placed on the sides of the hips or upper arm area will appear to distort as the rider moves positions
- For the shorts, we recommend not putting any text on the legs higher up than the “R” of “RIGHT” as shown in the template
- For the upper arm area, we recommend sticking to simple patterns rather than detailed logos or text
- Stripes on the arms and legs can be particularly tricky to align correctly over the seams. The following sub-template (download here) can however be used to place them so that they line up as expected.
- TFOr best results, we recommend not putting any logos or text that extend further out from the centre than the “F” and “T” of “FRONT”
- The collar is deliberately off-centre with the join between the far left and far right on the side of the body, which allows you to easily position any text that will appear on the collar without needing to split and wrap it around the ends of the template area.
- The template already contains a small amount of bleed. If you fill the entire white area with your design it will look great in-game. It is OK to increase the bleed and put design elements over the black border areas of the template, but these will not be displayed in-game.

Organising your team
Team Managers can organise multiple teams, adding and removing riders from each. From The Hub “Options” tab, simply select the organise team button, and then the team you want to organise.
Team members can then be added or removed by simply searching for their names on the team members page and clicking on the Add / Remove button as appropriate.
Please note:
- By default, Team Manager’s are not automatically members of their own team (for example, as might be the case for a National Squad), but they can of course add themselves into the team if appropriate.
- There is no limit to the number of teams you can be the Team Manager for, and that multiple people can be Team Managers for a single team. When registering to organise an established existing team, you will need to provide appropriate evidence that you are authorized to act on behalf of the team.
Team Members
Individuals can select from the list of all the teams that they are members of, which one they want as their current active team. From The Hub “Profile” tab, simply select the “Active Team” button, and then select the team you want to represent in subsequent rides.
Note that there is no limit to the number of teams that you can be a member of, and you can change the active team as often as you want, but obviously you can only ride for one team at a time.
While still in the early phases of testing, members of the TrainingPeaks Virtual Founders Club also have early access to the ability to select to wear the team kit of their currently active team. This can be selected as an option from the Avatar Display menu in The Hub.
