WKO4 - End of Life

A worldwide expiration of an SSL security certificate on May 30th, 2020 affected file synchronization between WKO4 and TrainingPeaks. Since that date, data no longer syncs between the two products.

The SSL security certificate expiration affected many businesses around the world and would require significant resources to fix the problem. In truth, we had scheduled the EOL of WKO4 for the fall of 2020 but, given the requisite investment in resources to fix the issue in WKO4, we are now moving the EOL process forward. 

For platform-specific details, please read below:

 

Mac

As of June 1st, 2020, WKO4 for Mac users will still be able to use WKO4 locally on any machines to which WKO4 has been installed and continue to use their personal charts.  

However, you will no longer be able to:

  • Install/activate WKO4 on any devices
  • Sync workouts with TrainingPeaks
  • Use Maps or New Default Charts
  • Receive technical support from our Customer Support Team

PC

As of July 31st, WKO4 software will no longer be supported by TrainingPeaks. You’ll still be able to use the program locally on any computer that already has it installed, including access to your personal charts.  

However, you will no longer be able to:

  • Install/activate WKO4 on any devices
  • Sync workouts with TrainingPeaks
  • Use Maps or New Default Charts
  • Receive technical support from our Customer Support Team

WKO5

If you liked WKO4, you should know that we have developed and released WKO5.  Upgrading to WKO5 will give you the latest in personalized training technology, with the full support of the TrainingPeaks Customer Support Team.
