Performance Insight Categories
Athlete Home is a single-day snapshot of your Performance Insights. Below provides the various metrics and ranges for each trend category.

Fitness (CTL) - Today’s Ramp Rate and the 42-day rolling average
Going Hard = 9 or greater
Productive Training = 5 - 8
Keeping Fit = 0 - 4
Recovering = -1 or less

Form (TSB) - Today’s Training Readiness
Recharging = 30 or greater
Fresh = 5 - 29
Maintaining = -10 - 4
Optimal = -29 - -11
Overloading = -30 or less

Fatigue (ATL) - Today’s Fatigue vs yesterday
Increasing fatigue = 3 or greater
Maintaining fatigue = -2 - 2
Decreasing fatigue = -3 or less
Adjusting the time frame
After clicking into the charts, you can adjust the time frame of the charts. By choosing 7, 30, 90, or 180 days, you can display the time frame that best suits your needs. You can tap on the chart to highlight the value for a particular day, allowing you to analyze your trends quickly.

Health Insights
Understanding your body’s recovery is key to training smarter, not harder. Premium Athletes can now access Health Insights—a dedicated space to track how your body is responding to your workload.
What's included?
Heart Rate Variability (HRV): Monitor your nervous system's readiness.
Resting Heart Rate (RHR): Track your baseline cardiovascular health.
Sleep Analytics: Review your sleep quality to ensure you're recovering fully.
Spot the trends
Use the date picker to view data over the last 7, 30, or 90 days. By selecting a timeframe, the trend indicator will automatically update, showing you exactly how your metrics are evolving so you can adjust your training intensity with confidence.
Training Insights
Training Insights tracks your recent workout effort by combining two subjective metrics: RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion) and Feeling. The card on Athlete Home shows your 7-day averages at a glance — a quick read on how hard you've been working and how your body has been responding.

Tap the Training Insights card to open a detailed chart and workout list.
The chart displays up to 90 days of RPE and Feeling as two trend lines so you can spot patterns across your recent training. Intensity Factor (IF) is included within the chart to add an objective measure of workout intensity alongside your subjective scores. Tap or scrub any point on the chart to see the workout type and IF for that session. Use the date range selector at the top to adjust the timeframe. You can view 7, 30, or 90 days of workout history.
Customizing Your Athlete Home Experience
This is a Premium Athlete feature.
Athlete Home Customization lets you choose which sections appear on your Athlete Home and in what order — so your daily landing experience reflects your training priorities, not a one-size-fits-all layout. Your custom layout saves automatically across sessions and syncs between mobile and web.
Mobile app
- Open TrainingPeaks and navigate to Athlete Home.
- Tap Customize Home at the bottom of the Athlete Home page.
- Use the drag handles to reorder sections into your preferred position.
- Toggle off any sections you don't want to see.
- Tap the checkmark in the top-right corner to apply your layout, or Cancel to discard your changes.
To restore the original layout, tap or click Reset to Default while in edit mode.
Please note: Performance Insights is always visible at the top of Athlete Home and cannot be moved or hidden. Hiding a section removes it from your view only — your underlying data is never deleted and sections can be re-enabled at any time.
