TrainingPeaks Virtual natively records both your smart trainer and your power meter into a single dual-recorded FIT file in-game. When pairing, simply select both your smart trainer and your power meter, and both will automatically be recorded.
Dual recording analysis
You can check and analyze your TrainingPeaks Virtual dual recordings on https://www.dualrecording.com/. Simply drag-and-drop your FIT file from your computer into your web browser when on the dual-recording website, and you will be able to view all your ride analytics from both power sources. All analysis is performed securely and locally on your device and will not be stored anywhere or accessible by any other users.

FIT file location
Your FIT file can be found in one of the following locations (depending on how you have your computer configured):
- Windows: C:\users\<you>\Documents\TPVirtual\<USERID>\FitFiles
- Windows: C:\users\<you>\TPVirtual\<USERID>\FitFiles
- Mac: /users/<you>/TPVirtual/<USERID>/FitFiles
- Android: /Android/data/com.indieVelo.client/files/<USERID>/FitFiles
- iOS: Files App – /TPVirtual/<USERID>/FitFiles
Where “<you>” is your login name on your computer, and your “<USERID>” is a string of randomly generated letters and numbers used by TrainingPeaks Virtual to uniquely identify your account.
Please note, that for performance reasons, currently FIT files are not stored locally on Android / iOS devices with less than 3GB memory, or on Apple TV – they are however still created and stored on the server and will be automatically uploaded from there to any 3rd party sites (Strava, TrainingPeaks, etc) that you configure a connection to. You can then download the FIT files manually from the 3rd party site.
In the future, we plan to add support for reviewing your past activities within TrainingPeaks Virtual, as well as the ability to retry file uploads if they fail the first time.
