TrainingPeaks Virtual now supports BikeControl, giving you hands-free control of your rides using a gamepad, handlebar controller, or smart-bike buttons. With 28 mappable actions and two connection methods, you can control everything from workout intervals and shifting to camera angles and the HUD without ever reaching for your keyboard or screen.
Connection Methods
TrainingPeaks Virtual supports both BikeControl connection methods.
Network (Recommended) The network connection is the most reliable option. Run BikeControl on one device and TrainingPeaks Virtual on another — phone, tablet, Apple TV, PC, or any combination — or run both on the same device.
Bluetooth Bluetooth is particularly useful for iOS users who want to keep BikeControl running in the background. Because iOS restricts background network activity, Bluetooth maintains a persistent link to TrainingPeaks Virtual even when BikeControl is not the active app.
How to Connect
- Open BikeControl and connect your controller.
- Open the Trainer connection setting in BikeControl.
- Select TrainingPeaks Virtual as your trainer app.
- Choose your connection method: Network or Bluetooth.
- In TrainingPeaks Virtual, open the connection screen and pair with BikeControl.
- Map your preferred actions to your controller buttons in BikeControl and start riding.
