Custom Team Kit

To help support teams, TrainingPeaks Virtual allows you to design your own team kit.

Creating a custom team kit is extremely easy – simply download the template file (here), fill it in with your design, and then send it to virtual@trainingpeaks.com.  It will then be integrated into the game and available to wear for any members of your team.

Notes for Designers

Please see the following images which helps demonstrate where everything needs to be placed in order to get your design looking fantastic in-game.

Some hints and tips for a great looking kit:

  • When in-game, kit acts more like a rider’s skin, than clothing. This means that areas of the body that rotate will result in the kit stretching in those areas. Whilst this is fine for most patterns, it means that intricate logos and/or text that is placed on the sides of the hips or upper arm area will appear to distort as the rider moves positions.
  • For the shorts, we recommend not putting any text on the legs higher up than the “R” of “RIGHT” as shown in the template.
  • For the upper arm area, we recommend sticking to simple patterns rather than detailed logos or text.
  • Stripes on the arms and legs can be particularly tricky to align correctly over the seams. The following sub-template (download here) can however be used to place them so that they line up as expected.
  • The part of the template that covers the front of the rider’s kit (with the word “FRONT” on it!) extends around the body and under the arms. This means that the area of the template that is actually visible on the front and not obscured by the arms is much smaller than you might expect. We recommend not putting any logos or text that extend further out from the centre than the “F” and “T” of “FRONT”.
  • The collar is deliberately off-centre with the join between the far left and far right on the side of the body, rather than at the front or back. This allows you to easily position any text that will appear on the collar without needing to split and wrap it around the ends of the template area.
  • The template already contains a small amount of bleed. If you fill the entire white area with your design it will look great in-game. It is OK to increase the bleed and put design elements over the black border areas of the template, but these will not be displayed in-game.
  • Please use your common sense when designing your kit. For obvious reasons, TrainingPeaks Virtual reserves the right not to include any designs that, in its sole discretion, may be considered to be inappropriate for any reason.
