Have you wanted more control over your power output during TrainingPeaks Virtual free rides? With Cruise Control, you can now set and maintain a consistent preferred power level that you can adjust on the fly. This feature functions similarly to ERG mode, but it's designed for free-ride scenarios.
Cruise Control allows you to increase or decrease your power output as you ride, enabling you to tailor your workout in real-time.
Here are some practical applications:
- Controlled warmups and cooldowns: achieve a precise warmup before a race or a structured cooldown afterward, independent of the virtual terrain
- Extending workouts: easily extend your ride with steady-state efforts after a scheduled workout concludes.
Engaging Cruise Control
Once in the virtual world, you have 2 options:
- Use the 'C' hotkey on your keyboard
- Hover over the action bar menu at the bottom to choose Cruise Control
