Enhance your completed ride experience by sharing screenshots! You can now easily add screenshots taken during your virtual ride and link them directly to your activity when uploaded to Strava. This allows you to showcase the highlights of your journey post-ride. We encourage you to start snapping these memorable moments. Please review the instructions below to ensure your Strava account is properly connected and your visuals are successfully included in your virtual ride experience.
Connect to Strava
- Log in to Virtual
- Click on your Profile icon
- Select Connected Accounts
- Under Strava, select Connect.
- This will launch a web browser and take you to Strava's website, where you can log in to Strava and authorize the connection to TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Please note:
- AppleTV does not support web browsers, so the connection must be made using a different device (Windows, Mac, Android, iPhone, or iPad). Once your account is connected, the connection can then be used on AppleTV.
- If you had connected your TrainingPeaks Virtual account to Strava before July 2025, you will need to refresh the connection. Simply disconnect, wait a few seconds, and then reconnect.
Adding a screenshot during a ride
Screenshots will automatically be taken when anything notable happens during your ride - for example, when completing a workout, finishing an event, receiving a change in rating/ranking, or bagging an achievement. Additionally, you can manually take a screenshot during your virtual ride using any of the following options.
Virtual Hub app
In-world
- Mobile (Android or iOS - iPhone/iPad)
- Tap the bottom middle of the screen, then select the screenshot icon.
- AppleTV
- Swipe up on the remote, then select the screenshot icon.
- Mac/Windows
- Press the up arrow on the keyboard, or move the mouse to the bottom middle of the screen, then select the screenshot icon.
- Keyboard Shortcut
- On devices with a keyboard, use the shortcut F10 to take a screenshot instantly.
Note that taking screenshots is only supported on devices with 4GB of memory (RAM) or above.
Adding screenshots to a completed ride from Mac/Windows
When you have completed your ride, you can easily add your screenshots before leaving Virtual. Select your desired screenshots from the list before exiting your completed ride.
- End your ride using the Menu.
- Once on the screenshot selection page, choose the screenshots you want to include. You can take as many screenshots as you like, but note that a maximum of 2 can be uploaded to Strava. Simply select/deselect which screenshots you want to upload by clicking on the thumbnails until a maximum of 2 are selected.
- Select Upload.
- After 1 to 2 minutes, you will then see your completed ride on your Strava account with the desired screenshots.
