The TrainingPeaks Hub App is a companion tool for TrainingPeaks Virtual, designed to enhance user engagement and connectivity. With the Hub App, users can chat with other riders, control their ride, and sign up for events directly from their phones. It provides a seamless way to stay connected and participate in community events—all in one convenient mobile experience.
In order for the Hub App to connect with TrainingPeaks Virtual, please make sure the two devices are using the same WiFi network.
Chat
Once you begin your ride, the chat feature will become available. Here, you can chat "globally", "locally", or within your team or group.
Live
See your current stats quickly in the Hub App. You will see all the data you are outputting in your current ride, simply by tapping Live.

You can now directly control your riding experience from within the Hub App. Not only do you have basic directional functionality using the Remote, but you can also make all the selections you can in the game, using the Hub App. This makes it easy to change directions or your view, select a route, take a break, grab a screenshot, and so much more!
Please note that screenshot functionality is only available on devices with sufficient free memory.
Events
View or sign up for public events directly from the Hub App.
Troubleshooting
If the Hub App cannot connect to TrainingPeaks Virtual, please follow the steps below:
- On your mobile device, go into your Virtual app settings to allow network sharing
- On your computer, go into System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Local Network
- Toggle TrainingPeaks Virtual off and back on
- Lastly, the issue could be a firewall. You will need to open up your firewalls for Virtual to be discoverable and for proper communication. TCP port 7779 and UDP port 5353
