What are promo codes, and how can I use them?
Promo codes are discounts you can offer to athletes when purchasing your coaching services through TrainingPeaks Payments. They can be applied to either:

The subscription fee (monthly)

The start-up fee (one-time)
Note: A promo code can only apply to one fee type at a time, not both.
How do I create a promo code?

Go to your Payments dashboard.

Select the product you want to offer a discount for.

Click "Create Promo Code" and customize the settings:

Code name (e.g., SPRING20)

Discount type (percentage or flat amount)

Fee type to apply the discount to (subscription or start-up)

Expiration date

Usage limits (e.g., total redemptions or one-time use per athlete)

Can I limit how long or how many times a promo code can be used?
Yes! When creating a promo code, you can set:

A specific expiration date

A maximum number of redemptions

A limit of one use per athlete
How do athletes use a promo code?
When an athlete clicks your checkout link, they’ll see an option to enter a promo code before completing their payment. If the code is valid, the discount will automatically be applied to the appropriate fee.
Can I edit or delete a promo code?
You can delete a promo code at any time from your Payments dashboard. However, once created, the code’s discount type and fee type cannot be edited—if you need to make changes, you’ll need to create a new promo code.
Can I track which promo codes are being used?
Yes. Promo code usage is tracked in your Payments dashboard, where you can see:

Which codes have been redeemed

Which products the codes are applied to
- When these promo codes are set to expire
