Getting Started with TrainingPeaks Payments: Setup, Video Guide, and Account Management

Overview

  • What is TrainingPeaks Payments? 
    • TrainingPeaks Payments is a Stripe-powered payment processing tool that allows coaches to set up, send out, and accept monthly, 4-weekly, and yearly athlete billing payments directly within TrainingPeaks.

  • Key Benefits: 

    • Seamless automatic monthly, 4-weekly, and yearly payments, athlete payment tracking, custom promo codes, automated sales tax handling, and secure, hassle-free transactions—no invoicing necessary.
    • Athletes can pay securely using a credit card or other supported methods.

  • Eligibility: 

    • TrainingPeaks Payments is available to US, UK*, Canada*, and Australia* coaches who have a TrainingPeaks Coach Account and meet eligibility requirements for payment processing as per Stripe. *At this time, currency will be displayed in US dollars.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

  • Step 1: Create a Product. 

    • Set up your coaching service as a professional, purchasable product. You can customize the details to match your offerings and easily share them with athletes.

  • Step 2: Connect to Stripe. 

    • Securely link your account to Stripe to enable payouts.
    • What information do you need? 
      1. Basic business details
      2. Bank account information for payouts
      3. Identity verification (e.g., SSN)

  • Step 3: Share Your Product. 

    • Once your product is ready, share the link directly with athletes. TrainingPeaks and Stripe will take care of recurring monthly, every 4 weeks, or yearly payments automatically.
    • You can publish your checkout links on your website—or anywhere else you promote your coaching services. This makes it easy for athletes to subscribe directly.

  • Step 4: Get Paid.

    • Payouts are deposited into your account within 7 business days of successful payment.

Managing Your Account

  • Updating Information: 

    • To update your banking information, log in to Payments and access your Stripe Dashboard. From there, you can make changes directly in your Stripe account settings.

    • Business details—such as your name, address, or tax information—can be updated within your connected Stripe account via the Stripe Dashboard.
