Workout Comparison
Workout Comparison lets you overlay completed workouts to analyze and compare them. It's perfect for tracking progress on a key effort, comparing races, or revisiting a benchmark test across different points in your season.
This is a Premium Athlete feature. Coaches can use Workout Comparison with all athletes.
For Coaches
To access Workout Comparison from your Dashboard:
- Log in to your TrainingPeaks Coach Account and go to your Dashboard.
- Select the Workout Comparison tab.
- Select an athlete group or individual athletes to include in your comparison.
- Set a date range using the date picker.
- Optionally, use the Sport Type dropdown to filter workouts by sport.
- Select the workouts you want to compare. You can select more than two workouts at once.
For Premium Athletes
To access Workout Comparison from your Dashboard:
- Log in to your Athlete Account and go to your Dashboard.
- Select the Workout Comparison tab.
- Set a date range using the date picker to narrow down the workouts available for comparison.
- Select the first workout you want to compare from the list.
- Select additional workouts to add them to the comparison view. You can compare more than two workouts at once.
Reading the Comparison View
Once workouts are loaded, you will see the global metrics of the workouts compared to each other in a data grid. Below the data grid, prominent data channels are displayed. Each workout is a distinct color line so you can distinguish between them at a glance. You can toggle individual data streams (power, heart rate, pace, and cadence) on and off using the legend selector at the bottom of any of the channel graphs to focus on the workout most relevant to your analysis.
Filtering
Within the data grid, you can use the “Filters” tool to narrow down the list to like workouts to compare. You can sort workouts by duration, distance, TSS, IF, and more.
