An asterisk next to a TSS on a workout (TSS*) indicates that the TSS for that workout was manually entered by the athlete or coach and not calculated directly from the workout data. This can be done when the entire workout is manually created, when there is no applicable intensity channel (heart rate or power), or if the workout data is corrupt or missing.
