TrainingPeaks Virtual Device Pairing

In order to use TrainingPeaks Virtual fully, you will need to pair indoor cycling equipment to the game to record your physical efforts – notably your power, cadence and heart rate.

Before starting a ride, if you have not already paired your devices, you will be prompted to select which devices you'd like to use.

In addition to your smart trainer, cadence and heart rate, you can also select to pair a powermeter. This is optional for most users (and only required for the highest levels of racing), but will give you additional in-game training aids (such as the balance of power output between your right and left legs, or smoothness / efficiency of your pedaling style)- if you have a powermeter that supports these functions. Pairing a powermeter will also act as a back up if there is a temporary drop in connection from the smart trainer.
Note that if you do not have a smart trainer, you can still ride using just a power meter as the primary power source to the game.
Once a device has been selected, this menu also allows gives you the option to calibrate your equipment in game (for example, performing a spin-down of a trainer, or zero-offset of a powermeter), and display other key information about the devices (for example, current battery levels, configured crank lengths, and any special hardware modes that may be active on your equipment).
