How to Create Custom Zones as an Athlete

TrainingPeaks athletes can create and store their own personal zones using their preferred methodology by modifying established zones.

  1. In your TrainingPeaks account, click settings
  2. Click 'Zones'
  3. Choose between Heart Rate, Power, and Speed/Pace
  4. Add your sport type if it does not exist yet - do not set the default zones, as those do not carry over to sport-specific workouts on your calendar
  5. Choose the zone methodology you'd like to add, pick one with the same amount of zones you need
  6. If you need more zones, click 'Add Zone' to add an additional zone
  7. Rename the Zones and specify a Zone Range for each zone
  8. When finished adding the zones, click 'Save'

Please Note: Do not overlap zones -->  start at the next whole number
